A new profile pic?

The wedding's over, and I'd like to stick around. I'm not sure if I want to pick a new avatar or keep what I've got. I suppose I could replace the model in that dress with a pic of me in it. Here are some others (the sailboat ties in with the blog). What do you think? I don't want to switch everything all at once, and am still learning here all the time, but eventually I'll change my moniker too. I'm open to suggestions

I like these pictures. Too bad we can only choose one! I love the bird pics, wow! Those are fabulous! If you pick one of those, you can keep your name. Number 10 is my favorite. I also love the pics of you in hats. They are playful, happy and fun. They have the added benefit of being related to style, as does the pic of you next to the coral fabric clothing item (whatever it is). Of those, I like them in the following order, 1,7,8. I also love the sailboat. It's colorful and shows up nicely.

In spite of the fact that my current profile pic is my dog Frankie, I think it's best to use a picture of one's face. I enjoy having the opportunity to know someone a little bit better by associating his/her face with the comments. But the picture of the cranes dueling in mid-air is pretty cool!

Roseate spoonbill! We saw a bunch in Texas in April. They are such interesting birds.

ETA: mine is a grey heron. My huband took the picture.

I have a question for everybody: how did you find this post? It doesn't show up in the forum for me, and also not in the section of current blog posts at the bottom of YFL home. I have to go to my profile and click on it from there, which I can do because I know I posted this. How did the rest of you see it?

Staysfit, no help at all, but you actually "voted" for a couple, lol. Thanks for the compliments on the photos. I wish they could all just be lined up along the side of the screen on my blog. But I recognize that this is already a very complicated site. I also wish I could find something to do with that shot of the Woodstork landing on the branch. They were way up above me, so I've already zoomed in optically and digitally as far as possible, so I can't make that pic much bigger, even though I love it. When it's thumbnail size, it's very difficult to see what's going on.

JAileen, I didn't realize there were Spoonbills in Texas. It makes sense that there would be, as it's just across the Gulf. I'm not familiar with Grey Herons. We have Great Blues and Lesser Blue Herons around here. I think they and egrets are amazing birds. They look so much bigger when they're flying. I think their bodies are basically 2-dimensional, like rudders, haha.

Emily K, can you believe I took that picture of the Ibises at the dump? I dropped off the recycling and was on my way out when I saw a bunch of them flying to sit on a fence. These two were dueling over the corner spot. I generally don't use my face in profile pix. It somehow bothers my own personal privacy settings in my head, and I try to show something different about myself in the foto I choose. Considering how I plan to use this blog, posting many pictures of myself in various clothing articles, the "privacy" concern seems a little silly, doesn't it?

I'm leaning to the sailboat or the Minnie Pearl hat pic right now.

I've just figured out how to change the background color from brown to blue. Amazing how much better every single pic I associate with myself works with blue, isn't it?

This is an Off Topic post and OT threads show only in Off Topic. I.e., they're separated from the main fashion section. There should be a sidebar link to this section of the website somewhere on your screen.

Fashiontern, we went to a rookery on the coast in Texas. Egrets, cormorants and spoonbills were nesting in trees. We also saw several alligators. It was a wonderful sight to see.

ETA: the grey heron is the European version of a great blue heron.

Did you find it with Rachy's help? My Mac shows "Style Exchange" and "Off Topic" as two columns at the bottom of the page. Threads in "Off Topic" behave a bit differently than do regular forum threads in that they do not bump up with activity. You must have chosen (correctly, I think) the Off Topic category when you composed the post. There are a couple of additional methods you can use to find stuff--One is to click on the tab that is part of the forum header where it says "Mine"--this will take you to a list of your posts. Another is to click on your avatar in the upper right and then choose "posts" and you see a list of posts that you've started and those you've joined. Both are good ways to make sure that you are staying up-to-date with comments on your threads.

On my tablet, a list of the 10 most recent posts under "Off Topic" is shown at the bottom right corner of the Forum page.

5 or 7. Those are going to be readily recognizeable as little thumbnail images.
As to names, I don't have any ideas at the moment.
I found this post by looking at the bottom of the forum page to the list of Off-Topic threads.

I have to scroll all the way down on my I-phone to find the Off-topic section, past what is for sale or exchange. I forget to look, often. I'm usually on the forum on my phone, but occasionally on my desktop where I can add finds ( usually for someone else, since I don't live in the US.) Also the pics are bigger on the desktop.
My fave pic is number 7, you look so happy. I do like the sailboat too .

I like all the photos but for your profile pic #7 seems perfect. I also like the sailboat.
