A new KS clutch picture: it's going back (or to Janet)

Okay, I tried to style it with this citron sweater and some snake print skinnies and heels to make me look taller. I still think it's an awkward size on me and a clutch is way outside my comfort zone already, so I don't want to be more challenged by having difficulty styling it. So sad because it really is stunning.... Janet?

Anyone think differently now? Thanks!

Colourblocking at its best! haha, love that yellow - and the turqoise, a caribean dream - I like that you kept your clothes one toned and your clutch with texture, its gives it that va va voom. you look fab

I went from "50/50", to "I'm dwarfing it", to "I need to see it styled", to... "I LOVE IT!".

I think it defies what the traditional convention is for petite women, to scale things down, and I'm really enthused about that. To be honest, I don't see that as a necessity all the time. It is big but not overwhelming to my eye.

Zap, of course I want to hear from you, especially since you know what this clutch is like IRL! Although of course now you're making me rethink it. It's not the scaling down so much as the awkwardness of it being a clutch. I can deal with a large bag - will I get used to this too?

I love it with this outfit. It looks oversized but not overly so. Styling it makes all the difference!

It looks better with stuff inside the clutch, but not enough for to change my mind, personally. Sorry that I seem to be the one downer.

If you don't love it, then it's best to pass it on. No feeling fab = return, in my book. I so wish our Angie wasn't sick, I'd kill for her opinion.

I think it looks better styled but I think it should go to someone else. It just doesn't quite work in my eyes. I think a slouchier clutch would be a better starting point for you.

Well, I think it looks marvelous. But you need to be comfortable with it! Can you take it out for a little trial spin to run a couple of errands or something to see how it feels?

I think this is one of those things that is subjective -- I never paid much attention to the size of bags in proportion to my body until pretty recently. Before then it was just, "is it big enough to fit my stuff in" but also "is it so big that I could carry around my husky in it."

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but in a related story I think I heard one of the Real Housewives of Somewhere declare that she always carried a big bag, because the bigger the bag was, the smaller one's butt looked. LOL

Laughing at Janet's comment - is the converse also true? The smaller the bag, the bigger the apperance of one's butt?
I'm seeing a lot of these portfolio type clutches. Do they require a special wallet (ie - very thin) to fit properly? Are they actually functional?

Merwoman, I hope the opposite is not true! Otherwise I'm switching to ALL HUGE PURSES. Where's that Chanel hula hoop bag when I need it?

I have a couple of these envelope style clutches, and as long as they are big enough and not *too* stiff, I can fit my regular wallet, eyeglass case, iPhone and other necessities inside. I like the larger clutches for that very reason.

Una, I may be a tad blinded by love (have been coveting this clutch ever since I first laid eyes on it), but I'm pretty sure I can still look at it objectively and I really think the clutch looks fantastic on you. Oversized clutches are very on trend right now, and although this is a bigger clutch, I don't think it's overwhelming you at all. I love it on you.

I am really not in love with it on you. I like the look of clutches, just not a fan of this one one you.

It is so large it almost looks like a vibrant snakeskin version of the portfolio I use at work.

I'm with Inge. I think it's fabulous on you and I'm drooling over the color.

But, I'm not into clutches for myself because I like having purses that I can sling over an arm or shoulder, leaving both hands free.
