A more grown up take on the beaded dress i asked about yesterday?

I accepted that you guys were right yesterday and that, that dress was too short but if it could of just been a little longer + looser....*sigh*

Anyway so then i ran across this today. Looks like it would be longer and I *love* the zippers. I'm trying to decide to take the plunge or not.

PROS: My winter nightlife wardrobe is pretty lacking. So it's be nice to have something on hand i already loved rather than having to try to find something when a occasion came up.

CONS: Kinda spendy for me. But it is going to be my birthday soon.... >.>

Thoughts?

I do like this one more, not sure why though because they are very similar. I think it would depend completely on how it fits. Is this one longer? The other one I thought looked really nice on you. You have a very nice figure, I just though that it would be impossable to wear.

i like this one but didnt see the first one. you said you would wear it for nightlife? what type of events are you thinking about? this dress doesn't scream super dressy to me...

The site just says it "falls above knee" (which is not very helpful) but i believe it is longer because i found a picture of a model wearing it and it falls to the length the dress from yesterday hit me at and i am just under 5'6" rather than whatever towering height the model is. It also looks like the fit would be a bit looser?

Mellllls - sorry i should of specified. In my area when i go out with friends or dinner or what have you, i frequently need pieces that i feel "walk the line" between being dressed up and casual. Because no one really gets dressed up at all around here so i like to be at least one step beyond that. >.>

Sadly i cannot. I tried to use the locator to look up a Lord and Taylor near me and it says there are none. >.> So i would need to order and then try.

I liked the first one and I like this one! Have you tried on Design History before? I only did once - and it was SUPER small on me. That was a good 4 years ago, but just a heads up.

Mmmm no i haven't tried it. They had a bunch of Design History the last time i was at Nordstrom Rack but i was trying to focus on new bras so i didn't try any on.
