Let me start by saying I did not enter menopause until age 57 which might matter and YMMV.

I grew up under my mother's belief that a little willpower takes care of any body issue one might wish to address. I mean any issue, including the need to wear glasses ("You're just not doing the right eye exercises.")

[insert massive eye roll]

Knowing that an idea one was raised with is nonsense doesn't always help us escape it.

But I recently dodged this one when I ordered my first pair of leather pants from WHBM. A reviewer in her 20s stated her height and weight and then named the size she'd purchased, which fit her perfectly.

This reviewer's weight was 15 pounds above my own but the size she named was a typical one for me. So I ordered that size. Could not button them.

Weight does indeed tend to creep upward with age but it isn't all about weight. For women, shape also changes. Kudos to any "find your size" feature that also asks your age. It matters.
