Memorial service: would this be appropriate? ETA pics

I'm going to a memorial service this morning. I was not really close to the lady, but she was very nice. She was in our ballroom dance class. I have this EF dress. Would it be appropriate?

I think so... I would certainly consider wearing it if I had it!

FWIW I wore my Vince lemming dress to a funeral a couple of weeks ago. (I have the navy version)

Yes. I just attended a memorial service last Friday, and people were dressed in pants, skirts, and dresses in all shapes and forms, with mostly subdued colors like gray and black.

Thank you all. I felt appropriate and respectful. I accessorized with a silver bear pendant and blue shoulder bag. Before the service I was talking to several ladies from church that I know. They loved my dress, and afterwards, as I walked to my car, a woman complimented me on my shoes (Steve Madden Nstop). So, YLF has definitely improved my style. However, this town is not very dressy, and I could have worn anything. I sat next to a woman in blue jeans and tennis shoes.

BTW, I learned how to lighten my photos from Chris' thread on selfies. So I hope you can see better!

It looks extra-great with the bear necklace and the blue bag. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but jeans and sneakers just don't seem apropos for a funeral. Have we really gotten that casual?

Xtabay, thanks! I guess we have come to that. When the woman retired from her professional job, she gave away everything except jeans and sneakers. She's a wonderful person, volunteering at the food bank, caring for her grandchildren, deacon of the church. It does seem funny that she wears the same thing for all of those actvities, plus memorial services.
