I just saw This skirt (it was not on my wishlist, but skirts are so difficult to find here) and i'm in love, the problem is that the smallest number is a bit big on the petite me. Does it looks ok with a dropped waist?
This silk golden blouse has a gorgeous color but do you like the fit?
I have a wedding at 2 pm on the 12th september. Is This ok with a clutch and fab golden sandals?

I really like the skirt and I don't see problems with the petite figure. I guess these 20s, bubblee-ish hems are quite adorable on petites.

Regarding the wedding... is it approppriate? Yes. But there is the big but of not wearing black (though the skirt is dark grey, or?), red or white in old school, traditional weddings. So this is my only consideration/reserve. If the "old rules" don't apply for the couple, the outfit with fab golden sandals is really pretty!

Fits look good on camera. If the skirt is sliding around you have time to have it altered. I like the style. For the wedding, a statement necklace or scarf, or dressy belt, or a topper that leans to dressy would all be nice ways to take it from separates to occasion outfit. Love the gold on you.

Remember that if you do have the skirt altered at the waist - you alter the fit elsewhere. Be mindful of that. Making the waist fit will lift the length of the skirt and adjust the silhouette along the contour of your body.

I am a stickler for fit.

I think the skirt is perfect as is, I wouldn't touch it.

I really can't say about what's appropriate for the wedding as you are in a different country/culture. Here in California it would be fine, though.

Here people dress really nice to weddings (all women wear cocktail dress with a lot of sparkle), but as I never go out much, I don't feel like buying a dress I will only wear once.
The skirt is navy with a small goldden pattern and the blouse is gold with sparkles on the neckline.
The skirt is really big on me (Pawprints, yes, it slides around a lot) but on the photo I wore it on my waist and it seems that you approved. I think I won't alter the skirt because if I did so, it would get so much shorter.
I will take better photos with other options too.

The skirt is fine. The blouse, like you said, has a gorgeous colour but doesn't fit really great. However, it is a passable outfit that can be dressed up or down. The shoes you have with it are very casual. If you would like to wear this to a wedding, you better have some VERY fab gold shoes and a matching clutch, something sparkley, and of course jewelry. Trouble is, there are so many shades of gold and gold shoes. I think you could make this work with accessories! I love the idea of gold...

Question. If that skirt slides around a lot and altering would ruin it for you, wi you be comfortable and unselfconscious at the wedding? And will you wear the skirt often in real life?
A slip slidey skirt drives me crazy, but maybe not you.

If the skirt is unlikely to get a lot of wear, you might consider just getting a dressier dress for the wedding, not fuss with making street wear fancy, and retire the dress after the wedding as you would eventually be retiring the mostly unworn skirt. IF the skirt would indeed be mostly unworn. Just a thought.

Seems like you're trying to avoid buying a one event outfit, which makes sense, but doing it with a less than perfect for you outfit?

As I can make it out this will make a perfect, ladylike AND so much more different(!) wedding outfit-in your neck of woods, Rute! I trust your instincts, and know you have a fab collection of edgy shoes, so can't wait to see this all styled to perfection!:-)
