Yesterday I took a little break in between an appointment and errands to pop into a local boutique and Anthropologie.

In the boutique, I tried on these pants even though they were a size too snug on me, and liked them more than I expected to. They don't look on me anything like they do on the model, because obviously the model has a totally different body type than I do, but you get the idea of the style. They sit higher on me, and they are shorter on me, coming to ankle length -- I think they have the model in a size larger than she could wear. The store only had them in a size 6, so when I got home I googled them in an 8 and found them online through a Canadiann retailer. Bonus, they were $50 cheaper online than in the boutique.

We shall see when they arrive whether I was operating under a delusion that they looked good. If they work, they will be a wild card, but they are so breezy and fun for summer, I had to give them a try.

Also, a PSA: these wide leg crop chinos at Anthro are on sale online, and were surprisingly flattering (I think! again, hoping I wasn't delusional in the store). I left them behind, but this morning I decided to order them online. They run typical to Anthro sizing -- I took a size 8. https://www.anthropologie.com/.....nts&a

And I also ordered this white top. They had it in a M in store but it had a makeup mark on it, so I ordered it online. It's slightly generous in size, but when I sized down, the S was too small in the bust. The test will be whether it works with my strapless bra. https://www.anthropologie.com/.....;color=011
