I bought a turtleneck from Talbots last week - it's "charming turtleneck" in pima cotton - I bought a fuchsia colored one on sale after Thanksgiving and like it so much that I went to the store after New Year's and bought another one in crimson. I washed it (without even wearing) and line-dried - as I was ironing it, I noticed that the knit that was part of the neck seam was unraveling... The seams are well-made and have a double layer of fabric, with the defective part on the inside, so I could simply repair it to prevent further unraveling. However, I am irked that I spent time shlepping to the store because I like their quality and this is what I got... I contacted customer service and they offered me a return label for free shipping back. Not sure that this really helps since the store is out of my size and color, although I can still reorder online (and pay shipping).
