I finally decided over the Christmas holiday that I can no longer do without a crisp white shirt in my wardrobe. I've never owned one before because I don't think white is my best colour, but I just love them so much and more an more I'm feeling the need for a least a bit of bright white collar poking out. But I decided that, if I'm getting only one, it needs to be a GOOD shirt. I looked around and found one at Brooks Brothers (didn't even realize we had one here; I sort of stumbled on it). I've been wearing it quite a lot and just thought I'd put in a little positive review. This shirt is fantastic. It is tailored to perfection (they have petite sizes!) and is made of lovely non-iron cotton with just the right amount of stretch, and it that doesn't have that synthetic look/feel to it that some non-irons do.

I would never normally have gone into Brooks Brothers -- it's a preppy nirvana, so not quite my thing -- but I'm so glad I did. If you're in the market for beautifully constructed classic pieces, it's worth a try.
