A Little Help? Display Name - YouLookFab Forum

I'm thinking about changing my display name. Again. And I need your help.

The background: About 6 months ago (only 6 months ago?), in a much publicized and dramatic turn of evens involving KCanShop and Prince, I changed my display name to K. Kristin and I have shared the name for about 4 of those months. But a few people have commented that our shared name is confusing, and I totally understand that, especially for newbies.

I'm not so attached to K that I'm not willing to change again. I've had a heck of a time thinking of a new name, though. I like something with K in it. And I'm not quite ready to link my YLF super hero alter ego with my sooper sekrit real life identity. So... I need help.

The real problem: I've got nothin' or nearly nothin' on the inspiration front. And I haven't for months. So far I have: The K -- from Rachylou, which makes me laugh every time I write it (and I love you for it, Rachylou!). Also, I was joking with Angie about my name and threw out K Period or K. or K.Period. Of those, K.Period. is the one I like the best. It cracks me up with the excessive periods. Still, I just feel like there is something good out there that I'm not thinking of. A little help?

ETA: Avatar change won't work because the avatars only show up in some views. Anyhow, mine is bright pink; Kristin's is a picture of her. Those two are pretty distinct already, if you ask me.

Lol that sounds like a morning show host and a cheerleader. I mean seriously you could go anywhere with this if you just change your profile pic. We all know what you look like. You could go with CoffeeLover or what have you.

@Liz, I thought about the picture. It is very small, though, and both Kristin and I have lighter hair. Also, more importantly, the profile picture doesn't show up in certain views, which makes it less helpful. If you were checking it on your phone, for example, I think you would have to open it to figure out which of us it was.

Yikes! I'm a child of the '80s! You know, the '80s...when they started describing children with developmental delays as special in their first (stumbling, but well intended) attempt to move away from much more negative labeling. I don't think I'd ever be able to get past that for Special K!

The K. I know. Makes me crack up every time I think of it. But how not to sound like someone who refers to themselves using the, while at the same time referring to myself using the. Hmmmm. The K.
