I went in to Gap to return the Horseshoe jeans that were too tight in the waist and they had some in the store so I tried on the next size. The fit was good in the waist, but they’re much shorter than the smaller sized pair I was returning! (For reference, I included a photo of the too small pair I returned.) Since I do prefer them longer, I will just reorder the ones I returned in the bigger size and hope they won’t be short too.

Of course I had to look around and I found these baggy drawstring-with-a-button-and-zipper pants. They’re quite baggy and a little loose in the waist but fine if I tie the drawstring. The smaller size was, you guessed it, tight in the waist, which made them sit funny in the hips.

I know I’ve been looking for more colorful clothes but a little olive doesn’t hurt, right? They came home with me because they’re just oh so comfy and I’m in love with baggy pants lately.

EDIT: I went back and checked the size of the ones I ordered online (pic 2), and I did order the tall size. The ones in pic 1 from the store are a regular size. There’s quite a difference!

I wonder if those pants were petite, Karie? Because that is so very strange about the length! I hope you get a pair that works one way or another. I agree that the longer length looks better.

Olive is a great neutral and can be fab with navy and white, which you have a lot of. Baggy pants for the win!

I just got those parachute pants too! The beige and the camo. They certainly do run large. I agree - olive looks great on you!

Suz, I went back and checked my order and the lighter ones are the regular length and the darker ones were the tall size. Good gravy! It’s a good thing I have you guys to keep me on my toes! I would have reordered the wrong thing.

I think the regular length ones are neither here nor there on you. Whereas the tall look full length and that is flattering.

I ordered petite, because I was worried that regular would be too long. Looking at these, I think they'd be like full length on me, whereas the ones I got are above the ankle length. I like mine for summer but I might actually prefer full length so if they go on sale I might order another pair in the regular.

I’m liking baggy pants too! The olive ones are great.

When I was in Sedona, I got a little concerned about the state of the only pair of hiking pants I took (what was I thinking?), and tried on a pair in an outdoor shop. They were duplicates of a great pair of Prana pants I have, but they were way too short and weirdly kind of baggy. It wasn’t until I came home that I realized the ones in the store were a large *short* and mine at home were a medium *tall* — LOL.

Olive is a lovely color for summer and transitions well into fall too. These horseshoe jeans are going to be perfection on you once you get the correct size. Your perseverance will pay off!
