After much ado, as some of you have noticed, I finally bought a pair of brown booties today! I had to dig deeper in my pockets than I had intended to, but I believe they are worth it. Italian leather booties, the brand is Pantanetti. Hand sewn with leather sole, but an extra rubber layer is already added. They are a versatile brown color and with heels about 3-3.5 inches high. They are very easy to walk in. Most important of all: no straps or other adornments, and they fit perfectly around my foot and ankle! I will pair them with most of my dresses, skirts and pants.
I really hope they are within my style ambitions of being "classic, non-frill feminine, simplistic, modern"! I hope they can add some much needed edge to my look as well. No matter what, I'm very pleased that I listened to my inner voice and waited patiently until I found a pair worth waiting for. I believe these will follow me for several seasons to come.
