So, I found myself at the local mall this morning since I needed a new iPhone charger, and I couldn't resist stopping by JCrew to"browse". To my surprise, as I thought I have finished shopping for this season, half an hour later I emerged with new blue dress!
The background of the purchase is that I have been considering getting one or two new summer dresses that were work appropriate a couple of months ago as a reward for getting my internship, but never did so because I had a long list for requirements that I couldn't find in my price range.
Anyway, this dress fulfills all of those: it is breezy, made of natural materials (cotton poplin lined in cotton), fits of the rack without the need for alterations (very rare for me in tailored dresses), it is long enough and covered enough for work, and the style is not very trendy. The cut is a cross of fit-and-flare and wrap dress; it has two front panels you wrap around and tie (#2), it is very well made and even has pockets.
ETA: I forgot to say that it is currently on huge sale for less than half of the original price.
