Okay so I am a 22 year old male, not exactly sure if I am transgender but I am most definitely the most fabulous gay guy you will ever meet!! Lol Anyways I just need some female advise, I love to look ultra fem on a daily basis wearing flare or bootleg pants jeans with like sandals or flip flops along with like a v-neck, cardigan or whatev looks fem, but not exactly cross dressing. What would be a highly suggested outfit for my type of situation?! Thanks!!!

I've met some pretty fabulous gay guys.
I'm fairly new here. One thing I've been glad to learn is that this crowd doesn't tell each other what to wear--they're much more into figuring out individual style. Check out the articles under "advise" or the file folder icon near the top right of your phone. Or you could look at which ones have been suggested to me, in my post on analyzing an outfit, where people explained how figuring out your own style matters.

I worked with this guy who wasn't gay, but was ultra fem and yet masculine at the same time. He was pure eye candy for everyone. Although, he was also boutique punk, so YMMV - but he wore black slips like kilts and blouson shirts with bell sleeves. Quite delicate things. He had an eighteenth century vibe going on. Reminded me a lot of Daniel Day Lewis, who can really do feminine without being just a big tacky girl about it.

Anyways, my coworker wore eyeliner and nail polish but NOT lipstick. An important detail, I think...

What comes to my mind when I think about masculine with fem added in was Robert Plant and Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin. I think the 1970s were a great decade for that look. It sounds like you are already wearing bootleg or flared jeans. A shirt like what Rachy describes - blouson with bell sleeves - would be very fab. And velvet jeans would also be amazing.

Thank you so much ladies! Yesss I love the 70s, ugh I wish I was around then! I do love wearing my white wide leg slacks or palazzo pants as well! With the right curvy girdle they look so cute tucked into a v-neck or button down!! Also what do you ladies think of khaki/cream flare slacks outfits?? Khaki/cream is one of my favorite colors and I was wondering if you guys may have outfit ideas for my growing chic closet!lol Thanks so much ladies, I am so glad to be a part of this chatroom!

Yesss! One of my favorite casual outfits is like white or cream/ flare slacks, flip flops/cute sandals, V.S. V-necks (best comfy fit shirts !!!) and depending on the weather a long cardigan. Sometimes I'll rock flats but as a guy I don't think they compliment my fashion sense as well. When I'm in full drag then I love flats or heels though! Though wedges are sometimes necessary for my long palazzo pants in drag or not. I also have a wide variety of loose blouses as well and I've been meaning to try out some flare rompers, if they look alright!

I like the idea of oxfords with heel. The seventies are a brilliant idea for inspiration. Reminds me, David Bowie has to be one of the all time masters of feminine and masculine.

Khaki and cream is a lovely combo. And that makes me think of Catherine Deneuve...

Ok, but ETA: I think Marc Jacobs, the designer, is really bad at fem. He does it all the time. I love him as a designer, but just have to say it about his personal wardrobe. Lol. He always looks like something happened to his trousers and he stole the laundry off someone's clothing line...

I've wanted to do something like that with tighter/slim fit pants. As far as the boot cut/flare go I usually like to pair them with open toe type shoes or boots. Do you ever still rock boot cut, flare or wide leg these days? It seems like pants are getting tighter as the 2010s goes on. Also what do you think of a guy wearing ballet flats? I usually just wear what I want but just as a fashion question. I do wear them occasionally, like in your opinion is it weird or could it still be considered fashionable? Thanks!!

Re. ballet flats: I personally think they are tricky on everybody. They can look too flat and be overwhelmed by one's other clothing. Like you're missing feet. I think they work with kick flares tho.

Rachylou Catherine Devevue is fabulous!!! She is another major inspiration! I have a dress that I love because it reminds me of her!lol David Bowie is another interesting one, I remember in one of his music videos he's wearing an interesting blue romper looking piece.aha Another wardrobe combination I love is pink top and white pants, I love bright colors!!

Yessss I'm so happy that wide leg is making a comeback!!! I love the soft printed palazzo and I have some wide leg dress pants that I'm in love with too! I love the comfort and the excuse for me to wear my wedges!!! Do you rock the wide leg pants???

I love wide legged pants. I wear jeans that are wide legged and cropped pants that are wide legged. I love wedges with wide legged jeans. Block heels are a great look too.

I think ballet flats could work if you have longer feet. I don't like them on my feet with a wider leg pant, but to my eye they are fab on a longer foot.

For colorful maximal style with lots of accessories see Jimi Hendrix. Block heels or booties will give you a better walk.

A friend has this exact blouse, which he wears without any of the other items shown. It's simply smashing. It doesn't strike me as femme when he wears it, but might give you some inspiration.

A different friend wears almost exclusively whites and creams. It's very striking on him, and works so well perhaps because he jumbles warms and cools and textures one might not expect together.

Both of these guys are straight, fwiw.

Maybe post pictures of what you wear already and ask for feedback? Everyone here is lovely with that.

BrieN I actually do have long feet size 11-12 to be exact, I feel much better about my flats now!lol Actually yesterday morning at brunch event I rocked my express extreme flare white slacks with some cream flats and a peach top, so many compliments actually!!! Minimalist I am in love with any kind of bows on my clothing, whether it's on my blouses or like a couple of cloth belts that I tie into bows! I would love to get something like that pic you posted! I recently bought a NY&Co bright pink blouse with a tied bow on the front! Sooooo cute with white pants and white/pink/beige sandals or flip flops!! DonnaF I do love some of the tribal/psychedelic designs on Jim I Hendrix clothes, kind of like my flare tribal design palazzo pants!! Rachylou, it's funny that you brought up Catherine, because for a drag queen event in about 5 years ago she was my inspiration for my make up! Everybody was telling me I had a 1960s Bond girl thing going on, believe me I took it as a compliment!!

Btw, my feet are almost as big as yours--size 10 in womens. I think the variety of shoes available drops off after that. You must have good sources!
