A further update - not blue, not green, but yellow!

Well after a circle I have taken the plunge on new sandals - and purchased these yellow mules on sale...

I am still thinking of something cobalt or kelly green in the closet - but I decided these yellow sandals will work with several pieces already - plus a complement with my yellow bag. I don't have any mules either so as long as they are comfortable they are different to what I own... The green is lovely but I think I will choose a tank or cami or dress in the green - sandals and footwear are a more expensive commitment.

With the wooden heel (rather than a rubber one) they are a bit dressy- and the mustard/golden yellow should work with all the finds below.

I will report back when they arrive....

We will see Carol - mules for me aren't great for lots of walking - I don't have fussy feet - but they can slip off. They are perfect for house parties when shoes are on and off all the time - and for some work days/meetings (my work is not that dressy).

Here are all my other choices that I have (some are very different I know) - and I see these as different but still cohesive with my style.

I am a bit over my black Eileen Fisher Sports sandals and may replace them with a sports sandal option at some stage....

Bijou - those pants are an inspiration - as are all the patterns to be honest. The blue dress and the black two piece both have that golden mustard in them and once I realised that it felt like an easy choice.

Plus yellow/mustard trended 20/21 so they were on sale!!

I like to pull colours from patterns- I am not as good at colour blocking although I would wear these with both of the berry and white midi dresses.....

Oooh -- I love these!! This makes so much more sense and you can play with the green in another item -- maybe jewellery, too -- a bracelet or some such. This is a gorgeous, rich, glowing yellow -- perfect for all the items you show!

I have a capsule of mustard yellow - shoes, sandals, scarves and a bag. It started with the bag, a vintagey mustard Coach bag - not really old, but from the 90s. I think you’ll be surprised how much you like mustard. I like to wear this color with blue and grey.

JAileen - I agree that this mustard yellow is quite easy to mix in - I love it with blues, greys, blush and some maroons.
