So the other day I picked up a cute pair of Alfani slingbacks at the thrift store for 5 bucks - nude with gold accents. Constructed an outfit of tan skirt, pink top and denim blazer to wear with them on the way to the symphony. On the short walk from transit to the concert the little rubbery heel cap thing on one of the shoes came off. On the way back the other one fell off. The metal bit on the bottom of the heels was exposed, so I was clanging and clanking down the street. So chic. :/

The question is, I suppose, whether getting them fixed at the cobbler will cost more than they originally cost me.
