So..I went to Nordstrom’s to return the AGL boots and to have a quick look around. NAS stuff was pretty picked over...but I did a quick run through the Markdown racks. And this blouse just jumped out at me. Not my usual style..leans way more BOHO than what I usually wear. But after come back to it 3times I decided to try it on. And then because I was wearing a dress today, I grabbed the 1st pair of non skinny jeans I could find in my size. And I bought them both.
Talk me into keeping or returning...

And please excuse the hair.

I really like this outfit! But I like boho.
I also really like the tapered leg of these jeans.
If you don’t already have similar items in your wardrobe, I’d go for it!

Lovely top. Not so keen on it with the jeans- can see the skin vs jeans contrast too much, I would wear a white cami.

Jenni...yes, if i end up keeping the top, i'd wear a cami...which i wear 80% of the time...just happened that this was not one of those times....

Dang, what serendipity! I agree that those aren’t your normal style and that you look awesome in them. Looks like they both fit perfectly. I like it better with the top tucked in. The straw bag goes with them too.

Keep both. I see the boho in the embroidered cuffs etc but it's a very restrained elegant version. I've grown out of the black bra under sheer black look but this doesn't bother me.

Love the jeans - fit and color. Re: the top, I am not overly fond of the combination of the neckline, shoulders and the horizontal lines across them - not sure I can articulate why. I do think the top looks better on you than it does the model, though.

I really like these together- great finds! I like a touch of boho in the summer. I find I am more apt to shop at Anthropologie type stores during warmer months.

I can relate! This is the exact kind of boho piece I can do too — the neckline, structured shoulder, subtle colors, and slight shaping through the body keep it from veering I to granola territory for me. Nice jeans too!

Keep! It sounds like this is a fresh/wild card look for your style, and both pieces fit and look great on you. I like the horizontal stripe at the shoulder and other detail at the top—balances out the blue of the jeans and draws the eye up to your face. I prefer the proportions when the blouse is tucked as in pic 1—that also does away with the need for a cami if you are comfortable with doing so because, in the pic at least, the grinning is really along the jeans line. However, the scooped hemline means the top will also look good untucked. I really like these pieces on you and agree w/Fashintern about the bag. Hope you keep!

Janet’s structure assessment really made sense to me on why this works and Muffin enlightened me as to why I, too, am more open to boho looks in the summertime.

I like these, especially the jeans. The top is fun and not too boho, agree it needs a cami but sounds like that isn’t a problem. I think this style should be untucked but that’s probably personal preference.

I love boho in the summer, but struggle with it too. This top is just structured enough to work. Keep!

the bag is a family heirloom lol...it was in basement of my parents townhouse, and when we were downsizing 2 years ago to move my mom into a life care community it was one of the things she didn't want to take...i of course snatched it up...but i have no idea how it came to be in the basement as its not really my mom's kind of thing...

i am leaning heavily towards keeping the top...and the jeans, even thought i said jeans were on my no buy list....

The bag must’ve been an unwanted gift. Guilt can make those hard to toss. How fortunate that it was there for you!
I vote for tucking the shirt in, maybe even with a belt. As for the jeans...I can’t remember what else you’ve got. Lots of colors and finishes would work.

I like both too, keep! Agreeing about the grinning with the blouse though. I like it more tucked, or would be good with white jeans too.

I like them both on you, especially the top, as it is special. Very pretty on you. I also like the outfit with the bag! So now, what shoes? I think sandals would complete it nicely. Maybe cognac or tan? Oh, and I like the top tucked or untucked!

I agree with Janet. This is the kind of Boho top to keep for those summer months when you want something different. Love the detail and that the fit is more classic.

Jeans look great too - more straight/tapered leg than what you've been picking lately? Another reason to add to the closet!
