Not to be Debbie Downer, but not everyone can afford to always or usually buy the quality that they would prefer. I do the best a can within a limited budget -- and covet the rest (BTW, I am bitter and envious over your Kate Spade pink shoes! :-p).

LOL, that's so funny, Claudia, because I feel like I'm absolutely in the "can't always or even usually buy the quality I'd prefer" club. Those KS pumps were SUCH a once-in-a-lifetime, outside-the-box, not-my-normal-MO purchase for me!

This quote jumped out at me because generally I'm guilty of trying to do things on the cheap, and all too often I end up with something not-quite-right because it was less expensive, and then I regret it. I'm still working on buying fewer, higher-quality items instead of lots and lots of cheap crap.

ETA: Hang in there, Claudia! There IS a light at the end of the tunnel!!

Lovely quote, Mary! And Khris hit the nail on the head. We all have to make the best of what we have and what we can afford. Nobody should turn their noses up at *any* budget - both high or low. Are budgets are what they are. At the end of the day, I believe that its nobody's business how you choose to spend your money. We are all on the same side: having fun with fashion in the best way that we can.

(I hope that didn't sound sermon-y).

I love that quote! Don't be discouraged Claudia, having a almost non-existent budget means a bit of extra work but you can still get the same results. I spend hours scouring local thrift stores for high quality pieces and have learned to tailor my own clothing. Most weeks I come home with nothing, but I think I'll post this quote where I can see it often to keep myself from getting discouraged. I feel your pain in the tuition department, I am paying for my husbands and mine at the moment too!
