A fun way to wear your sleeveless tops now

Saw this on one of YLF's highlighted style bloggers Penny Pincher fashion, and I thought it was a great way to wear sleeveless tops in the depths of winter if you want to get the most out of your wardrobe. I have several languishing away in the back of my closet, so i might try this:

I do this all the time! I agree it's a great way to keep wearing sleeveless (and short-sleeved, and just plain too cold) tops in the winter. I particularly like it with a woven top.

Thanks for sharing. I can think of a couple sleeveless tops that I haven't wanted to wear in a while that would be fun under a sweater. I just hadn't thought of that.

Her version reminds me just a bit of a tutu, and that's fun.

I do this with a denim sleeveless button down that I have, and it's great! I don't have denim sleeves fighting with wool or cashmere sleeves, and constricting my arms!

I cut the sleeves off the top because it didn't fit me well, but I adored it. The fit problem is one I usually have, my shoulders are too big for most tops. Most women measure up at 14" or so, and I come in at 16". No wonder I love knits! LOL

I'm going to remember this when I see a really cute sleeveless top like hers! I always pass them by because I think "Who wears sleeveless in the winter??" Doh, I can!

I do this occasionally, though at the moment I don't have any tanks with decorative hem trims (love the fringey one in the blog post, fun!). I particularly like doing this with sleeveless button-down shirts (fluid and woven) because it really removes a lot of the layering bulk that a normal shirt sometimes yields.

@Aida and @Kim - love the wisdom about doing this to remove buly. I hadn't thought of it that way but it is a perfect solution, particularly for me since I love lots of thin layers on top of each other.
