A Few WIWs, and Thoughts for 2024

The New Year came around and I found myself rebounding a little bit from colorful and playful, which were my bywords in 2023. I feel much more interested in monochrome and neutral looks so far this year. And I NEVER thought I would say this, but I'm also liking the idea of greyed or heathered colors: cadet blue, mauve, dusty rose. It just shows you that there is no dime I cannot turn on.

#8 is all ivory, but also shows off the hilarious apron my SIL got me for Christmas. Others are mostly old stuff, except for the eye-popping (red is a neutral, OK?) Desigual coat and the Cos top in #2.

Thanks to all of you who have given me GREAT ideas for fresh combinations and fabulous Finds.

Ok, maybe colourful and playful was last year, but that apron wins the prize! So fab!

And red is 100% a neutral.

These are all great on you -- I love how you are playing with silhouette, proportion and cut as well as colour. My favourites are #1 (bookending boots!), #3 (textures), #4 (waving at my Anthro sweater cousin -- I have it in a different print). #5 (moody, and boots again!), #7.

Oh, thank you Suz, and I must show you the shoes in #5! Bought this year and my new favorites. I never could find white ankle boots that were right, and these shoes perfectly fill that gap.

#1 and #5 are my KILLER faves! Excellent lengths, fits, proportions, and palettes. Those new white monk strap '90s shoes amp up the fabness of your outfits

#2 - is another fave! LOVE the pants with those boots!

#6 - pants and sneakers are a winning pairing! Playful and cheeky.

#10 - another example of excellent fits and proportions. You wear full length flares, bootcuts, and all sorts of wide legs with the best of them!

Suz, the shoes are SO comfortable! Loafers won't stay on my heels, but the vamp on these comes up high enough so they don't seesaw.

I love these too - very elongating and stylish and modern. Lots of columns of colour which I like - with fun but comfy looking footwear.

It’s funny how our colour preferences can just change like that - happened to me too! I used to avoid lilac now I love it. To me your colouring looks like you could wear lots of colours? Red is a winner but I like the dark grey and ivory too.

Yessss-perfect examples for the (obvious) fact that there is no dime one cannot turn on!! Love your silhouette of pants in these outfits-well fitting and very flattering! My faves are 1,3,5&10! What does that say about...LOL, me?? Hope nr 5 is not a black one- it rather classifyes to a greyed or heathered color as you mentioned- think is it a very soffisticated eggplant color which suits you sooo well!
