Here's a few recent WIW's. Taking photos is such a valuable exercise, I've picked up some things from these pics that I just can't see in the mirror!

#1 - another variation on what I posted the other day. (Red Jacqui E skirt, Basque black ruffle front knit top, Sussan gray marl waterfall vest, tan belt and shoes and red watch.) The neckline of the top is possibly not ideal with the vest?

#2 - (White cotton ruffle top; Jacqui E geometric navy, white & stone skirt; yellow and nude belt; nude flats). I'm not fussed on this top anymore. I thought it was a bit more crisp looking. I'm not so keen on the flowy sleeves now that I look at the photo.

#3 - (David Lawrence black broderie anglaise cotton skirt; black tank; white sheer tie top; nude flower and flats).

#5 - Hmm, I think I might be happy to let go of this skirt? What do you think? This photographs very different to what I thought it looked like!! I know maxi skirts don't get the best rap by YLFers but I think it's particularly the lack of structure that I'm not liking about this.

#6 - Tried the same outfit as #5 but with a shorter skirt that has a more substantial material. I'm liking this much more. Thoughts?

I just relooked at #6. Do you think as a pear I should be steering clear of the horizontal stripes on my lower half?

I love the outfits in 5 and 6 and think you look terrific in them. I think it is a great look and like the striped. I am lusting after the vest and have one on my list now as a result. I like each of these outfits but see where the flowy blouse in 2 is somewhat different than the other styles you have posted.

I love those tan ankle wrap sandals! My favourites are 1, 6, and 2 I think has potential but maybe a different shirt?

Actually, #5 is my favorite and I think you should hold onto that maxi skirt! It skims your curves very nicely; it doesn't look shapeless at all.

I agree about the value in taking outfit photos. I need to try to make time to take them BEFORE I leave the house so I can make any last minute changes.

#1 - I'm not sure if that neckline is off.
#2 - I think you're right about the sleeves.
#3 - Lovely!
#5 - Keep the skirt. This is a great outfit! I like how the belt helps to make a long leg line.
#6 - I like this skirt too. However, I'm not sure about the belt with this outfit. I'm thinking no belt or one that is more tonal with the top?

I actually love all with the patterned /esp striped/ skirts, the maxi and the denim vest is genial-so your post landed in my inspirational folder:-). Thnax for posting. I really need a denim vest and some stripey skirts for summer:-)))

AJ, I can see now that the short striped skirt might be better without the belt. Thanks.

And I will try some different top options for the skirt in #2.
