A general announcement, more than anything else

1. I am VERY impressed with how the Closet Edit challenge has been received and actioned. I didn't think it would get support, but my word was I wrong. WELL DONE to everyone editing. You are fabulous and inspiring.

2. You can collect Finds in Safari if you follow Greg's guidelines further down this thread:

3. The Gap collector is working again. I know there are more broken broken collectors, and we will get to them eventually. Greg is the only person who can fix them, and he has a hectic job that takes him away from home for two weeks of the month. He has no spare time unfortunately. He fixes what he can when he can. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

4. Our spam filters are sensitive and sometimes blog post comments go into moderation - even when you're a Veteran member or have written a very regular comment. It's a difficult and technical issue that we have had for a while, and that Greg has not had the the time to sort out yet. Our apologies for the inconvenience and frustration. I can imagine how annoying it is to write a comment and it doesn't go through. Please bare with us. If you're having a problem posting a comment on the blog - send me PM, and we'll try to figure it out.

thanks for the finds update....like Suz, I've been creating custom finds when needed....

and once again, thanks for the on closet editing....I've given myself the weekdays off, but will be back at it Saturday, with a target of being thru the major categories' by end of October

I think one of the reasons this closet edit is so popular is the timing. I’m tired of some of my summer clothing and more likely to let things go, and also looking at fall. I also edit as I go, but this made me look/try on items I’d been holding onto. Thanks.

I’ve done a little more editing than just my underwear drawer. I’ve also gone through my tees, and will soon go through my coats and jackets. It’s turned cold here and the homeless could use some of these things. And my husband will be glad to get back some closet space!

I still need to do my closet edit, I love all the inspiration here ... but I'm having a block. I think bc I am soooooooooo bored with my closet, but I can't just toss it all out at once!

Angie, a huge THANK YOU for all your work -- and thank you to Greg too for all he does behind the scenes.

I am feeling especially grateful for your Closet Edit Challenge. I am still working on a post on what I've been up to, but for now just wanted to say that you've prompted me to really cut deeper than I have in the past and that feels INCREDIBLY EXCITING to me -- not because of hitting some arbitrary number but because I can see what's essential to my style starting to come through and take shape. Amazing!!!

Thanks Angie and Greg! I know you are both working super hard and I really appreciate all the work and time you put into ylf,

I think I’m one of the ones who is getting caught in th spam filters lately. I’m not sure but I think it’s only when I post blog comments from my phone (iPhone 8 with whatever the most recent iOS is.). They go into moderation but eventually show up (I would imagine when someone releases them from moderation.)

As for the closet edit I am slowly doing it in bits and bobs (all I can handle right now). Thanks to jaileen, I decided to do my underwear and bras last weekend.

Suntiger, I WISH we could add Finds from our phones. I also have a big iPhone. That’s a major bit of coding for Greg, though - and across phone types too. MAJOR. I don’t see that happening soon.

Ha, I actually was super busy yesterday and today (at a conference) and didn’t have a chance to comment! I’ll try tomorrow.

You CAN add finds from your phone, I’m able to do it on my iPhone. I played around one day and it worked.
