Despite my poverty, as I was messing around with my closet last week I realized that I don't actually have much work- or interview-appropriate clothing, especially trousers. With the idea in mind that getting a couple of pairs of business-y trousers would send a message to the universe that I am ready to find a job, I went shopping.
This is what I found, plus a couple of other lucky clearance finds:
- Light grey trousers. Not the most exciting but the fabric is not horrible slimy polyester, they are not baggy in the legs, like so many other trousers I have tried; and they are long enough. Plus they cost me £3.
- Beige trousers. A bit meh and they have the dreaded gathered waistband, but the color is neutral enough that I think I could pair it with other more interesting things, plus they fit well, the fabric is nice, and the length is ok. For the record I would never wear anything tucked into these anyway, so the waistband wouldn't show. These were also only £3.
- Cobalt blue knit dress. I tried this on several weeks ago and wasn't
sure about it, but just the other day I decided that a dress in this
color would be a nice addition for fall. Much to my surprise it was
still in the store, so I bought it this time (and for just £4). - Belts. I've been needing a new jeans belt for months but have found it strangely difficult to find one that I liked until this week, when I found both of these on sale! The black one is proper leather and was £6, while the silver one is PU, but it was on clearance for £1 so I figured it was an ok price for a bit of a fun item.
