Just got home from a 6 day trip to Toronto for business. Only forgot to pack one critical thing, which was a new best for me - a pair of leather/ponte pants that were to go with a specific jacket. So much for that outfit. Ended up doubling up on this Anthro tunic dress because I liked it so much. Lighting in my hotel room was not the best, but you get the drift. The Anthro piece is a dusky blue/black colour, so I chose to treat it as black for now. Wore it with an angular Jenny Bird pendant, black tights, and black suede pointy toe booties. This dress will transition well into spring, and I already know I can wear my open back sand colour boots with this - and maybe some faux horn jewellery.

Another couple of pieces I wore both to work selling and out for an evening were this new Danier leather jacket and a pale grey linen EF sweater. I went to Danier to see if I could find an winter white leather, but actually found the colour looked odd on me. I completely ignored this jacket because of the colour, but was persuaded to try it on (I know and trust the SA) . I'm also new to mixing neutrals like this, but found I quite like it. I switched out the linen sweater for evening with a marled grey distressed Current Elliot T and jeans. Loved it.

A third dress I enjoyed wearing (these are 10 hour days in the showroom selling - busy, and "on" all day) was this BR knit dress with shoulder zippers. Wore it with diamond studded black safety pin earrings, black tights and the same sueded booties. Felt comfortable and fashionable. (no pics of me in it, sorry ) This too will transition well into Spring - nude stockings and a shiny black leather shoe or boot.

Ooh, and lastly , and perhaps my most exciting find that worked so well on this trip -this new faux leather Moleskine backpack. Luxe looking, CLEAN design, super comfortable to carry, and with a moulded bottom that allowed it to sit upright. I used it everyday to and from my hotel and the showroom, toting shoes, iPads, makeup bag, water bottles, files, etc etc - and LOVED IT.

I'm sitting in my office staring at my huge half unpacked suitcase and wondering if there's any wine in the fridge. Hope someone gets something helpful from this new-pieces little review
