A fall meetup in Seattle?

I've been enviously reading about the world-wide meetups and would love to have a chance to connect with other Seattle ladies in person, even if it's just as simple as a few of us meeting for tea or lunch downtown. Would anyone be up for it?

(Edited: per the discussion below, it sounds like November 6 might be the best day for the majority of folks who are interested. Would that work? We can arrange another Seattle-area meetup later, such as early December or January, for those who can't make it.)

Are there any weekends that particularly look good?

The only weekend I absolutely can't do is Nov. 12-13. Otherwise most weekend days look good for me.

Nov 6/7 is a no-go for me. Weekend afternoons are best. We have classes in the AM/early afternoon.

If this happens on a weekend I can make it, I might just use mileage to fly down (Seattle's as close as I'm going to get to anyone). The week of Thanksgiving would be out, though - no tickets!

Should we try for November 6th, and then maybe plan to schedule an additional meetup later (early December or maybe January after the holidays) to allow additional people to come who didn't make it the first time?

It would also probably be easier for AlaskaGirl to get tickets if there was a second gathering that was a bit farther out. And I have no qualms about seeing Seattle(ish) YLFers more than once a year!

Yeah, that won't work for me - husband will be out of state and I'll have my little guy 24/7. But I can plan for the next one!

I'm open on the sixth, but maybe early Dec is more reasonable? I can do any Sat but the 11th (finals week).

Also, should we try to do early Dec or Jan? Jan might be more reliable, just because there are so many holiday things going on during December. We might get a better turnout if we plan something for early Jan (and, or course, there is the weather concern!).

Plus, probably some great sales in Jan!

I agree that January would be a lot less hectic after the holidays. (Though I wouldn't mind devoting my December birthday weekend to a YouLookFab gathering, either!) Let's plan for January!

So... about Nov. 6. It sounds like Jenavra, JuliJuli, and I are in. (Hooray!) What about Annagybe, Marlene, and Angie - would that day work? Anyone else want to join us?

For deciding when & where to go - gosh. I confess I don't have a plan worked out in advance. Should we plan to start out meeting at a restaurant downtown mid-day, like around 11, for lunch or brunch? I'd love to hear suggestions and have a few ideas - but I'm also wondering whether it would be better to hold that discussion off-forum.

So - what say you?

November 6th is a good possibility but I need to double-check with my husband....he generally works on Saturdays and we have child-wrangling to deal with....will let you know!

I think 11 at a downtown restaurant sounds perf! But, we will def. have to do another meet in Jan so we can get everyone together...

I've got 11 at a downtown location TBD on my calendar. I think it might be nice to have brunch/early lunch and then do some shopping.
