I bought this Boden Hannah dress a year ago on a half-off sale. I've never worn it other than to try it on. I wanted it in the solid navy, maybe even the black, but by the time I decided the solid colors were sold out.

It's a nice dress, well made, lined. So what's wrong with it? This is the kind of dress I would have worn 15 years ago to go to a firm dinner or go out to dinner with one of DH's clients. I thought I still needed such a dress. Obviously I'm not going to need it for several months now, if ever.

It was a little snug last year and in photos I thought it looked kind of dowdy. Maybe the print? Looks better this year because I've lost some weight, mostly around the middle, just where the style cuts in to show the belly. I can't wear heels any more, and even my flat dressier shoes have become harder to wear, for example these AGL shoes that I think are 4 years old. I could wear dressier sandals with it. I would wear it with a different pendant.

I think my days of fitted dresses are over. Last year I wore a simple black knit fairly straight dress from a BR and wore it over and over and look forward to wearing it again.

So I switched outfits and now feel like me. This is the last Boden cotton sweater and the only one you haven't seen so far. Dark wintergreen. Switched pendants too, to the tourmaline I showed you last week.

The group photo is the only one I have showing much of the BR dress--Chicago River cruise last summer. Everyone in that photo has lost weight in the last year, especially the one on the far right.
