(I was a Highland dance mom to 3 daughters. What made the travelling, costume-adjusting and hairstyling bearable was realizing that Irish-dance moms have it MUCH worse! Both are popular here in the Maritimes.)
Ha! Well, if I do my hair right, it has natural ringlets. But I was running late to the competition yesterday and didn't have time. My hair was flying into my face in all my dances. Adults don't often wear the big curly wigs but they do sometimes wear their hair up with a little curly 'bun wig' that makes a bun look great.
Highland has some big advantages in terms of sanity for sure!
