Spurred on by everyone's kind and encouraging comments on my recent 'musings' on winter needs, I decided to check out some pre-Black Friday sales in local b&m stores. I brought a few things home to consider, but I will start with this...
I outgrew (and probably also wore out) a wonderful white quilted thigh length jacket a few years ago, and have been yearning to replace it ever since.
This is the first jacket I tried on in yesterday's trip to the mall. It's from Columbia, and not as dressy as the one I used to have, but I am enjoying a casual vibe these days. (and hey, if I eventually find a dressy one, I can add it, right?!)
Unfortunately, I realized last night that this one got damaged when they took the security tag off, so I will take it back. (they had to really yank to get it off and it left a hole in the fabric, pulled a few stitches and left a dark spot.)
When I checked online last night they had none in my size, but I found and ordered it this morning, so fingers crossed that one will arrive in better shape.
I also bought another Columbia jacket in the same colour but with a roomier cut and faux fur collar. Not sure I will need two white puffers, but it's nice to have options, and I didn't want to let either one get away while I decided. Both are returnable.
I may be a bit blind in my enthusiasm at finding white puffers that I feel good in, so if you see anything I'm glossing over, please let me know.
Your thoughts on colour, fit and other factors you notice will help me evaluate which one to keep or, heaven forbid, whether to keep both.
Thanks for looking.
