This is a picture from a dance that we went to over the Christmas holiday. It was a dance that was designed to be from around the time of Dickens. We all did line dancing like the kind that was in Pride and Prejudice. We were supposed to dress in something that looked like it was from another time. I went to a thrift store the day before and bought a big crinoline slip. I found this pewter long skirt to put over it. I also found this little fitted velvet jacket that was in the most gorgeous blue. I tied a copper chiffon scarf in a big bow. I wore black pointy boots underneath (added a bit of an edge). My husband is the big guy in the middle. He is an actor and does a one man show portraying Nathanial Hawthorne. He is wearing his costume. My friend Kellee is also with us- she wore a stunning strapless dark green dress, we had so much fun!!
