Cause there will be life post quarantine and PC had a sale

Love the black dress! Very comfortable and I wanted a LBD that was less businessy for weekends. It has a kinda high slit on one side so probably not for work- but good for the beach, jazz concerts, etc (someday).

The skirt is same as I have in black, but the blue is greyer and lighter than it appears in pic. And much greyer and lighter than the whole of my wardrobe. I tried it with several things, inc the new rust BR sweater and liked it. Made me think of Roxanna's warm-cool pairings. We'll see. It's pima, and was inexpensive, so may eventually toss it in a teal dye bath

Still waiting on the rest of my biking kit to arrive, and got some hiking pieces in mind (ahem...cart).

The black dress is similar to one I bought from BR last summer. It turned out to be one of the best things I bought--can be dressed up or down, great for hot weather, easy fitting. Great choice.

The skirt looks like a great choice as well. Although my brain still flows in old grooves for categories: dressy, casual, etc., life isn't structured that way anymore. The skirt looks like it will work well with lots of things. I look forward to seeing the rust and teal together.

Two great acquisitions and so useful for warmer weather. I really like the colour of the skirt, I hope you enjoy mixing it with the richer tones you currently have.

I think that dress will be ideal for that sort of casual use. Skirt colour looks good too.

The dress and skirt look like the will be workhorses for you. I ordered some EF espadrilles in metallics for summer today although it is too cold yet to wear them.. you can probably figure out how to wear your new pieces year round. Shorten the dress to knee length if needed.

My black skirt like this has been a weekend and weekday workhorse- stretchy and comfy, and gets worn year round except very cold days. I wear skirts/dresses exclusively for about 6 months of the year, then maybe half the time in colder weather.

The fabric of the dress is like a jersey so isn't super dressy. I like the length, since nearly all my things are knee length- though it may be hot when it gets to the 90s! Will pair it with cognac accents. I like the idea of wearing it with a wide brim hat-but I should leave that for the milder climate folks!

Can you stitch the slit a little and wear the dress to work? I like the movement on the bottom of dress. Not a straight sheath. In my book - a win!
