I didn't think this outfit would generate so much love, but it has! The pairing - and the hair - will certainly be worn. Thank you for your input and for this big boost!
Runcarla, I think my grandmother might have been emulating the Lady Bird Johnson look as she happened to have the same general features. And I am pretty sure had I lived in that era I certainly would have too.
Somehow in my memories it got stored under "Older American Lady Toursit from the 1960-1970's" but I realize I got it all wrong.
Jeans are Simon Chang from 2012. They have a nice sequin detail on the back which is why I have kept them.
Firecracker, Aurore: yes, semituck is a good idea for this one and I did try, but somehow I really wanted the full long and flowy look so to match the jeans' shorter hem. But maybe this particular shirt is too short in the front to achieve this, since many of you felt an urge to semi-tuck it. It's the shirt's fabrick - very drapey - that inspired me to try a non-tucked approach.
Re: tucking, the other day I stumbled upon this video and at first I won't hide I mocked it because I thought How can you have a video on how to tuck in your shirt (it seems so obvious), but actually it ended up being useful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nl51CPMWp8s
Jussie, you are right about a topper! Thank you for this reminder. You are correct, especially for petite women.
