Lovely! What a cheerful pattern.Home hobbies such as sewing are such a blessing in this current situation aren’t they.

Your dress looks amazing on you, and it’s even more fab that you made it yourself. It’s perfect for a Zoom or in-person wedding.

My friends and I have all had ups and downs during the last few months; you are not alone in that.

You look sensational! I love the new pixie and it is especially great with this vibrant, pretty, practical dress!

I'm sorry you have been feeling low. It's an awfully hard time. And seems so long....Hang in there.

One of my favorite of your looks ever! Wow, I'm impressed with the dress (and your skills-at least this was a creative project which kept you up and busy--I want that pattern, too!:-)) great fabric, and you look so effortlessy radinat in it, but sure the new cut is killer, too!

First, let me tell you that the dress is beautiful. I love everything about it, but especially the print.

Second, you are not alone in how you are feeling. My friends and I are starting our 16th week of social distancing (aka lockdown). Our emotions are all over the board. There are days when we feel good and hopeful. Those days are unfortunately followed by days of anxiety and hopelessness.

I am afraid I can offer no advice because it would ring hollow. It is important to know that all of your emotions are real and valid. Best wishes.

Your dress is just my style — truly! I look best in shift dresses with V-necks. I would love to know the pattern.

Thanks so much to everyone for your compliments and encouragement. For everyone who asked the pattern, here it is. I made the dress, but since it’s “maxi”, cut it off at the line where you can shorten/lengthen, preserving the slight curve in the hem. I made size 14. I usually wear a medium or 8 in RTW Dresses or skirts, 6 in jeans and some pants.

Here is one source. But it depends what size you need. From what I can tell, it dates back to about 2000. One thing I liked about using it was that with only three sizes to choose from, it’s easier to cut. Patterns now usually have all sizes, or at least 6-8 lines.

I'm so sorry that you are having a tough time - but wow you are talented! That dress looks so fantastic!

Thank you for posting a pattern pic. Such a timeless style! And your choice of fabric was spot on. Hope you are still doing better!

That fabric is awesome, and you've made yourself a lovely dress with it!
