Hi lovely ladies! It occurred to me that I've been asking questions and posting here for several weeks without even the courtesy of an introduction. So here goes:)

I'm 41, married with no kids. I come from a long line of stylish women, and until the mid-90s, I enjoyed style, too. Then I went to grad school and started my career as a school psychologist. For a long time I looked younger than my age, so I tended to wear sedate work clothes in an attempt to try to look like I had some authority. Then, 4 years ago, DH and I bought an old farmhouse to renovate and added some fun farm pets. That meant ponytails, sweatshirts, and jeans with work boots.

My current work style is not bad, but it's definitely not fab, and it's oh so boooring. Work clothes tend to be a uniform of sweaters and wool pants with heels and minimal accessories, and my weekend look is more "Tractor Supply" than it is "Nordstrom." I buy clothes in the same way I buy things for my house: I know what I like, but I have no idea how to put pieces together with flair, and it's been so long since I've had fun with clothes that I've lost my ability to switch things around and make different looks.

So there you have it. I've lurked here for several months and enjoyed it immensely, and I've never seen a more supportive and fun group. I'll likely be asking questions more than answering them at first, but eventually I hope to be a better-rounded poster!
