I have just seen and answered you in the blog comments, but I am going to repeat it here. I like a lot of these, especially the Sensual Glam versions. I may have some from the past that will work, I was going to go through my closet this weekend. Actually, I have tons of true wrap tops/blouses I have saved from ages ago, and I guess it is now or never to wear them again. I am going to do a huge keep/donate post on them this weekend to figure it out.

Sounds like you're going to have fun with '70s style, Tanya. Me too. High five. I have the Love Story bell bottom jeans but want a white pair too. I have great pairs of Theory bootcut trousers already. I want a belted trench coat (NAS I hope), and I'm very into the Sensual Glam tops - and will add those to my wardrobe.

I just bought these and LOVE them. I also bought a white pussy bow blouse in HK. My '70s look is in full swing, as is yours.

He he, Angie, high five indeed! I have the same Love Story jeans you do and about 6-7 more flared jeans pairs ( I know, I know) - some more fitted like the Love Story and some slightly wider like trouser jeans style. I actually wore a high-waisted white trouser pair yesterday, will post that tomorrow.

I am really into Sensual Glam tops, and with a few new tailored/waist defining tops, those are going to be the only things I am hoping to add this season. I adore that white eyelet blouse, as I already mentioned on the blog. I will try it, but chances are it will not fit right with my long torso. I did, however, order this glam pussy bow blouse and it should arrive in couple of days. I am super excited about it!

About your new belted trenchcoat, are you interested in a classic style or one of these new looser/relaxed ones that gave been popping lately? I am intrigued by them, and even tried a very pale blush version last week (photo attached). I couldn't quite decide if I like it on me or not.

Oh, thank you Angie because it was also what I wondered about.
I remember those fitted shirts with pointed collars! My Mom had one - white with blue carnations on it - which I borrowed from her and wore in 80s (possibly looking very un-trendy but I did not know then )
Silky halter necks sound really intriguing for me - I bet I can use them for my dancing capsule!
I am not sure about bell and long flautter sleeves. They look interesting but I find them not practical. Pouff sleeves with cuffs are more doable for me.
I had my flared white triusers from Express for 3 summers already and enjoyed them tremendously - even if they were not that trendy. They are too big now and also past their prime so I am eyeing Express website now for the substitution.
Off to look at Zara's offerings...not that I am looking for anything of course...:-)

High five, Tanya. We have quite a few of the same pieces - going back to our old cream Soia & Kyo trench - 7 years old I think? And we STILL wear it and love it. It was an excellent piece.

Your pussy bow blouse looks gorgeous. And I'm after a very tailored and modern classic belted trench. Might go Burberry - IF the colour is right. I want cream, stone or toffee - NOT soul sucking beige.

Funny that you mention that trench Angie, as I am planning on wearing mine tomorrow, since we are supposed to have showers all day long.

I LOVE the fitted shirts with pointed collars, and the silky blouses worn tucked. Can't wait to go hunting for a few. I must keep purchases to a bare minimum this year so will need to be careful with my pennies.

I really like the blouse you posted, Tanya. And I do like how you look in the trench, but for myself would prefer a more traditional one. If you can have two (and in your climate, you can) it might make sense to have one of each!

Sveta, I use silky halter necks for dancing indeed! I still have a couple of old ones, and I did not get rid of them because they were useful for dancing. Now I will get to wear them again for non-dancing occasions.

Suz, I am also keeping purchases to minimum
this year for financial reasons, and I am mainly planning to buy various blouses/tops to refresh my wardrobe. I would like some 70's style (started with that blue one), some that define the waist in the new way and some boxy cropped for the high waisted pants. So maybe we can go blouse hunting together, virtually. I am also planning to add some new footwear, and started with these taupe booties. I am mentioning them here because I seem to remember you were looking for taupe booties too at some point.
Thank you for the comment about the trench, but I think I will leave it behind. I can not justify it, as I have three classics ones already.

Years ago, when 70's style just began to re-emerge and I recoiled at the thought of wearing boho pieces that are So Not Me, Angie really transformed my thinking on one of the Seattle meetups, showing me gorgeous blouses that embodied the glam side of the era. That has stayed with me as I incorporated soft blouses and pussycat bows into my wardrobe. This thread reminds me that I need to add boot cut jeans back into my closet; I miss wearing them!
