5x thrifting: PPL jeans?, blazer, cashmere sweater, bag, scarf

I went to my all time favorite second hand store the other day and got 5 items for only 6 $!!

I have question regarding the jeans #3 and blazer #4. I haven't styled any of the outfits and sorry for bad photo light.

#1: a fun scarf, a vintage wool blazer and a matching handbag, vintage cashmere sweater
#2: jeans. I'm keeping them despite the imperfect (matronly)

fit. I may alter them at the waist. They are comfy and I'll probably wear tops that cover the mid section or do a half tuck.

#3: PPL? I hacked the jeans about 3 inch (8 cm) above the ancle bone. Does it look right?

#4: Vintage, 100% wool, great quality. But is it too tight? There is some inseam room. I'm wondering if the fit would improve if I let it out?

#5: cashmere sweater. Definately a keeper
#5: blazer/scarf/bag together (sorry for poor pic quality!)

That is a great scarf and sweater! I like the jeans at the shorter length. I'm not sure about the fit of the blazer - I always have a hard time seeing fit issues with photos.

Thrifting can be so much fun. You found some great pieces. I actually think the jeans are pretty on-trend. Hard to asses the length from the angle of the photo, but 3" is within the sweet spot Angie suggests, so I bet the length is good. The blazer is the piece I'm not sure about here. I don't love it so much that I would recommend paying for alterations, but others may feel differently.

I love the blazer, and it seems to fit you perfectly except the sleeve length, which is an easy fix.

Vintage cashmere is a no-brainer. I wish I'd known how hard it was going to become to get quality cashmere at any price point. I wouldn't have let go of my vintage sweaters!

Super cute sweater.
Jacket doesn't look too tight - but vintage jackets often feel stiff and tight compared to modern fabrics. Also, you only wear a tee under it, will you wear it like that?
I like the jeans fit, not matronly to me, I like them better full length than cropped but the shoes don't look right with them : a bit higher, block heels maybe?

The sweater is lovely, the scarf is fun, the blazer looks fine to my eye, but I don't know how it feels. I don't think the fit of the jeans is matronly.

Thanks! I'm glad you like the jeans. It's been too warm to wear them, but I know for sure that summer won't last forever.

Laura G - you would think cashmere is cashmere, but today's cashmere is all over the place.
skylurker - you are so right. The jacket is stiff in the shoulder area. I'll probably wear it with a lightweight top.

These look like great finds. The jeans are such a good fit. I think you can crop them as you've shown, and 3 inches above the ankle bone sounds right (it's hard to tell from the photo angle), and wear them with high-shaft booties or oxfords. I could also see you hemming them a little longer (or perhaps leaving them as is) and wearing them rolled, boyfriend-style. I kind of like the cropped idea, though. They remind me of these I just got from Anthropologie (in Finds; mine are off-white).
The blazer looks really good, to my eye.
