So this week I got the Aldo Emelyne mixed snakeskin brogues. Been wearing them around the house to test them out. They're pretty comfortable, well cushioned. I'm a size 10, borderline wide feet with a high instep. I'm wearing thin socks and will probably need a thicker sock. I have a bit of heel slippage, which I hope the thicker sock will help that too.
They will probably not work for narrow feet, especially those with narrow heels.
On me they probably make my large feet look, well large. So if you are self conscious about your feet looking large you may not like them. They're a bit masculine, but I think the mixed colors and light trim on the sole help.
I thought of getting black oxfords or loafers, but I think these are better. I'm going to keep them as they make me really happy. I picture them with my cropped wide leg jeans, other cropped pants. Possibly a sack or denim dress. Not quite sure about skinnies, will have to try. The mix of colors should work with a variety of clothing colors.
