Yesterday I began with wanting to wear my Joan Rivers velvet jacket in an attempt to wear some winter items that I have been neglecting this season. It seems like we had so many big swings in temps this year, yesterday in the 40's today in the 70's ... Everyone in our area is having sinus issues for weeks now, myself included... If not on two meds I wouldn't be functioning.

Anyhow after getting dressed in the basics I thought it would be fun to show different ways to accessorize the look.

1. With my new leather obi belt in the Color of the Year. DS15 (my photographer) liked this option the best so its what I wore for my Paren'ts Night Out. I loved how the blue really popped off the brown.

2. I bought this faux fur collar on clearance and was thrilled at how many ways I could style it when I first brought it home, playiing in my closet for hours , amazed at it's versatility. I haven't worn it at all... Not enough adult evening outs and just doesn't fit the mom on the go looks...

3. A chunky knit scarf defintiely screams winter, lol.

4. This is actually a sash from a summer tunic, but i tried it as the skinny scarf trend and as soon as I switched into it my teen son began to giggle. When I asked why he said, "I got this picture of Daphne from Scooby Doo in my head" I told him he was quite insightful as it was a 70's trend, lol

It was a fun exercize and one I should do more often... Of course not to much or my young photographer might not be so willing as he is now...
