3/4 and long sleeve Q

I've got a few blazers and cardigans that are three-quarter sleeve. In the winter, is it kosher to wear a long-sleeved top/blouse underneath, or should I roll up/push up the sleeves? I was wearing a blazer kinda as outerwear the other day with a button-down shirt and couldn't decide whether the cuffs showing just looked weird or were OK.

Personally I don't like the look unless the shirt underneath has cuffs that are turned up or french cuffed over the cuff of the sweater. Just having the longer sleeve sticking out looks unfinished and not deliberate to me.

Hi Laura! In this situation, I usually either fold the cuff back over the blazer, or push the sleeves up under the blazer sleeves. Sometimes I let an inch or so show, if it pleases me.

It depends on the top underneath. If it has a smooth tight finish I like to leave the longer sleeve out. It gives the fluid over slim look which I like.

I like a rolled up cuff if it's a button down shirt and leaving the sleeves long if it is a slim fit knit.

I am generally not a fan unless it becomes an intentional layered look - which it most certainly can, and look fab. I find that folded back cuffs *can* look a little frumpy, so you have to do that with caution. Sorry to be so obtuse. Frumpy is hard to verbalize, but you know it when you see it.

I do it all the time. Intentionally. So, I hope the intentional part comes across. Folded back cuffs get bulky and bug me.
