Ooh, I love that.

An aside: I have been admiring all these chunky oversized sweaters, but every time I try one on I feel like they either overwhelm me or make me look enormous (I get an urge to strap down my boobs, for one thing!). Does anyone else feel this way?

Yes Janet! I like oversize sweaters and you saw me in one in yesterday's WIW, but it was not thick. When I try on thick ones or cable knit, I feel like I'm chunky, not the sweater. And yes, they can emphasize even a modest chest.

Yes, I know what you mean, but oddly enough I have found some oversized and cabled sweaters can actually be flattering on me and seem to de-emphasize my chest, especially if I play up my long legs and height.

I think the longer sweaters like the one you have pictured above work better. And that one looks fairly thin for a chunky sweater. Short and chunky sweaters make for a very boxy look.

Janet - I have no chest issues withbulky oversized sweaters, but I always think they look best when they fit quite loosely around the hips (and have slim leather covered legs below ;-). But with my pearness and full thighs, it changes everything to have the sweater hugging my hips/rump, then relatively short, full legs below

I think the chunky oversized sweaters is a look that is not traditionally flattering. I admit to feeling larger when I wear mine but the coziness, warmth and styling possibilities are slowly swaying me from worrying about the bulk as much.

Those shoes really caught my eye, too. LOVE them and will have to keep my eye out for something similar. They look so sleek and modern to me.

I agree, Shannon. My figure is what it is, no one will ever think I am small chested no matter what, so liking something for the reasons you describe wins out.

I will look more top heavy and all boobs if I wear a sleek fitting, fine gauge knit turtleneck or crewneck, but a bulkier, slouchy knit makes me feel less body-con.

Wow. Gorgeous look. I do think it takes some tweaks to make it work as well on a shorter and/or curvier frame.

Okay, no one's commented on the shoes yet. I know they're hard to discern, but feel they deserve a closer look. PL is a designer that I've recently become infatuated with (not that I could afford him). Another of his pairs of shoes and a bag were some amazing things I saw online recently. Very very talented.

Mochi, I agree about the shoes! They look gorgeous, from what I can see in the picture. They were the first thing I looked at. The rest is great too, it's very interesting with all the textures. Also love the color combination!

I love Phillip Lim and this outfit is TDF. That sweater and the shoes are beyond stunning. The slit up the side would probably help make it a lot more wearable.

Thanks so much, Astrid! SIGH. I want those beautiful shoes. Also I see that the pants look to be ponte knit or some fabric and leather which makes me fall even more in love, plus those zipper details.

Tina, I think you are right about the slit, which eliminates any bunching and billowing out issues so it drapes perfectly, eliminating lower body bulkiness -- plus makes this sweater even more interesting.

Angie, I'd only wear the scarf outdoors, and mainly because I love how navy and burgundy go together. I am not sure it's a skirt, I think it's a layered tunic top under the sweater. At least that is what I am seeing with a bit of the tunic also peeking out from the sweater sleeves.
