Emily - thanks, The sweater is actually a dark navy. I think the Kibbe just maybe helps me think about what I am trying to achieve - and sometimes what NOT to do. For example I struggle when my hair is too crisp or flat, and I struggle with too much shine on my clothes. I think the Flamboyant Natural is about a casualness but with a bit of drama, which are the outfits I like the best on myself.
Jenni - yes the names are great although I do not have a flamboyant personality..
Skylurker, thank you for your kind words. I think the jacket does need a more structured bottom, and the colour was not right either. It was not an awful look but I should have just repeated the dress with camel boots and a wool coat which is how it looks best.
Brooklyn - thank you. The puffer gets a lot of wear. I agree the wine colour dress needs more dark on the bottom to make the look balanced. But I actually think it is best with lighter footwear - either camel or cognac. It would work with chocolate brown nicely but I currently do not own any. WRT remixing - I like doing it, but on this occasion I felt like I forced it for the sake of the challenge. And for Kibbe I agree with your diagnosis of my style, and from the limited reading I did it seemed to fit the FN category. I will only use it loosely but I do like sometimes to know what to stay away from:)
Thanks Stylefan...I suspect you are a Natural as well of one sort or another:)
Sterling - thanks. I think it is more thinking about how I want to look. I have a lot of flexibility within my work and climate as to how I dress. My life is casual and I am drawn to be slightly dressier than my norm. How do I indulge my love of style with my lifestyle and my budget... When reading about the FN last week it became clearer that this is the way to do it... Texture, some movement, long lines, loose hair, and some flamboyant or bold touches...
Staysfit - thank you. Rather than doing the quiz I read through the descriptions of all the categories, and considered feedback I had been given from forum members. Initially I thought I might be in the classic area but I am not neat enough, symmetrical enough. Suz and one or two others mentioned Natural. I was clear that I am not a Soft Natural - my nose is large, my jaw is strong, and I don't feel good in gentle soft colours or styles. I might be a Natural but I love that bit of drama in my looks and I have the wide face but slighty sharp features, I am relatively broad framed with a mix of muscle and curve, and my hair has movement and kink. I won't stick to it exactly but when I think about how I feel best it is that description I wrote to Sterling - texture, movement, long lines, loose hair, bold touches...
Suz - thank you my Flamboyant sister:) I think you pointed me in the right direction a year back when you said I was a natural like Ingrid Bergman (I was flattered of course).
I will post this and reply to the second half in a minute before I lose the lot!!
