Firstly thanks to Sterling, Srah, La Pedestrienne, RunCarla, Emily, Joy, Stylefan and Kellygirl (have I forgotten anyone?)  I have enjoyed this challenge and had fun with fashion.

Well I ended with a stumble.  I don't have pics from the last ten days.  Activities involved:

  • seven days at a rugby tournament
  • work inspersed with above
  • a night out at the movies
  • a Bastille Day French meal out
  • two days at the beach
I stuck within the capsule with lots of casual wear mostly and repeats for the nights out.  While much of it was not high fashion I kept warm and I think was appropriately dressed.  On one day I was the only person in a group of 12 not in a black puffer jacket LOL!!

I have attached lists with some data and have made up a colour palette too based on what I wore.  I am not sure what season it looks like!!  It was just in excel so the metallic options are not great and silver shoes, pewter hitops formed an important part of my style.

Lessons:
1) I was very happy with what I had to wear.  There were a couple of days I would have chosen other options if I was not doing the challenge.
2) Most of my winter closet was included - not included are two pairs of jeans, one pair of pants, four sweaters, two coats, two pairs of boots, two leather jackets, two long sleeve tops, one blazer and three skirts (plus trans-seasonal gear such as blouses and tees).  I only missed one skirt, one pair of boots and the coats.
3) I will post about some of these other pieces - I may remove a couple of them and look to upgrade one or two of them over time as well.
4) Of course I wore other things that are not recorded - a raincoat, rainboots, socks etc...and I wore a lot of accessories.
5) This challenge reinforced the role of accessories in my (and most others) style.  I used the same bag for work days.  I swapped in clutches for nights out.  I wore sunglasses frequently as well as scarves, necklaces and earrings.  I am pleased this challenge helped me develop a few new options.
6) If I had to be in a professional work setting every day it would be harder...given my varied mix of activities it makes it easier.
7) Priorities for shopping include a new bag, a replacement of a pair of aging sunglasses (I like to have two pairs) and some new pants or jeans.
8) I diagnosed myself as a Kibbe Flamboyant Natural and it feels just right for me.  Long lines, texture, natural hair, bold accessories, use of colour, not too tight and not too structured.  I have been trying for Bold Elegance for a while and this feels in keeping with this.  I am aware I do not always achieve this
9)  I didn't love the recording part of the challenge but it was okay for a month.  I won't track on an ongoing basis.
10) If we are aiming for 30 wears per item it is not that easy to achieve for many pieces.  For example even tops I felt like I wore heavily were only worn 5 times.
