Oh, you people are making me sad The thought of these trends disappearing, many of them before I even get a chance to try them, scares me! I love you guys but I have to say I'm glad you're not in charge :p
-LOVE socks with sandals and peep toes. Add a pencil skirt and it's a totally sweet 50's look.
-Love volume. I've bored you all with that before so I won't go over it again.
-Love skinnies. Love them so much I'm appalled anyone could wish them to go away. I can't even fathom it! I wore mine nice and bunchy over flats today and loved every minute of it.
-Love pleated slouchy pants and shorts. I wish there were more pleated shorts out there because I am unable to find any, so I'm forced to settle for flat front.
-Love and NEED cap sleeves and other "bad" sleeve lengths. I just can't make sleeveless a regular part of my wardrobe due to my fit issues. I also don't agree that they are THAT unflattering
-I have come to embrace short dresses, as long as they are decent and the silhouette is right. However, I do agree that we do need variety and a lot of the options out there are NOT decent nor flattering, especially if one is tall. However, I'm not so I'm enjoying it while it lasts!
I agree with Stringy about leggings as pants. It's not a trend, it's just a lack of common sense.
I think generally speaking there is a lot of variety out there, with the possible exception of dress lengths. I wouldn't change much. I can't say I want any trends to go away. Even if they don't work for me or appeal to me, I can always appreciate them on others (J Crew embellished t's being a notable exception).
However, there are definitely a lot of things that have been accepted as "basics" that I would like to see gone.
-Rubber flipflops
-Tshirts
-Yoga attire worn for anything other than yoga
