3 K/R's - boxy tops - YouLookFab Forum

hi All,

I'm trying to finalize my travel capsule to Europe mid-March and ordered these 3 boxy tops. I'd love your opinion.

1/2/7) Cashmere sweater from AT. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep this, even tho I'm off black these days. I got it at a very good price, and having never had cashmere before, I'm pretty smitten. Is the shape ok for me? It seems like a good item for the trip, as it's going to be chilly and I can wear this with skirts or jeans.

3/4) Mixed media top from AT. I'm not sure the shape is doing me any favors and the polyester seems to "cling" in the front, although in damp England, that will probably not be an issue ; ).

5/6) Lace top from ATL. Again, I'm not sure the shape is doing me any favors. Also, does it look OK as styled? That's probably how I'd wear it.

The first sweater is really fab on you. I'm not too excited about the others, particularly the lace one is very uninspiring. Sorry!

I agree with Rita. The first one is excellent, but the second two are less than excellent. Keep looking! At least you have one now.

I like #1 a lot and #2 is good too, in a casual way. Agree that 3 is not a good one.

Love, Love, Love #1 on you. It can be styled to many ways, and I love it with the scarf.

#2 is okay, but I am really on the fence about it. Angie likes it, so that always makes me think twice, but I just am not in love with it for you. Not a fan of #3. I would return it.

#1 is a keeper and #3 is return IMO. I'm not sure about #2 - something about the dropped shoulderline that I'm not really fond of, but the side view is great though. I guess it comes down to how you feel in it

I adore that cashmere sweater on you, great shape! I'm not totally sold on the pattern of #2, but I like the shape and the contrasting sleeve. As for the lace, I'm obsessed with lace tops, but there are so many great ones out there and this one doesn't quite measure up.

You will love the cashmere sweater for travel. It adds warmth without being too warm and can pack down to take up very little space or weight. (Do you have packing "envelopes" that compress a stack of folded items?)

LOVE #1 & #2 looks good. #3 is a return imo. Do you have a shirt you could wear under the cashmere that's long enough to be seen at the hem? That would also work to add colour if you don't like the black near your face. Have a great trip.

#1 and #2 look great! Shape and drape are fab. I like the idea of #3 but something is not quite right with it to my eye.

I really like the first two. The second one would look great with white bottoms.

I love #1, I'm on the fence with #2 and agree 3 should go back. Shannon wore a similar sweater to #1 with a white button down underneath and it looked really spiffy that way too. Black cashmere is a staple.
