Hi All

Inspired by those who have already shared their goals/non-goals for 2025 I am getting my thoughts down too.

Colour Palette: - Earth colours with black and dark denim.
With the changing of my hair colour in early 2024 from natural silver to a copper-ish blonde I suddenly found different colours in clothing looking more flattering. That includes brown, rust, camel and army green/khaki. I already had a few pieces in my wardrobe from a number of years ago when my hair was dyed a copper brown colour so I only needed to add a few. Looking forward to these being in my main capsule for Spring/Summer 2025 together with black, dark denim and maroon. Black and dark denim are always my go to and although maroon is not an earth colour I like it in this colour palette (I think, as I have not experimented yet). I am hoping there will be some maroon in spring/summer clothes in the thrift store since it has been having a moment again at retail. Also noting that it will be a warm maroon and not a cool burgundy that I am looking for. My earth colours will still be saturated and not too murky. Saturation and contrast work better with my complexion.

The rule of 5: - This year I am going to try and limit my purchases to 5. They will mostly all be thrifted. They must be like new and fit into my preferred palette. This way I will probably wear out more of my clothes than I usually do and thus reduce some numbers. I personally will prefer a smaller wardrobe for my current lifestyle.

Oldies feeling new: - Having lost 5 kg this winter I am fitting more comfortably into some of my clothes that I have not been able to wear for a couple of years. When I drop another 3 kg (hopefully by Spring) there will be a lot more wearable options in my closet. Looking forward to my 'old friends' coming out to play. I have a rust linen skirt, linen blazer and jeans that will fit perfectly in my capsule. Along with 2 pairs of white jeans (Calvin Klein cropped flares and Hugo Boss bootcuts) that I am so looking forward to wearing again. I think this is going to help with not having an urge to shop new/thrift, but shopping my closet instead.

Grownup Tomgirl: - I am still happy with this moniker that we came up with in 2024. Recently I have been wearing a pair of Only denim jogger-style jeans with a bit of a low rise. They were a bit tight when I thrifted them in Autumn 2024 but now are just right (with a pair of heatech leggings underneath for winter weather) and the look is very much Grownup Tomgirl and I feel very authentic in the outfits created with them. So on the right track it seems.

Hair/Make-Up; Staying with the copper-red toner for 2025 on my hair, loving it and receive many compliments. As for make-up it seems my minimal approach of eyebrows and lipstick has become trendy. I only wear eye make-up for a night out. As well as unpainted nails that now are also trending, looks like I don't need to change a thing

• Summary: Looking forward to having fun with what is in my closet and coming up with new and interesting pairings that feel authentic to me.
