This year, I reoriented how I shopped focusing on basics for clothing (uniqlo and gap mostly) rather than my usual statement pieces like a fancy shirt or dressy jacket that I would rarely wear because I didn’t have the requisite completed piece like the right belt or the the right weight tee or shell.

I focused on completer pieces including several belts and basic tops/good tees.

I also focused on wild cards. Things that had an immediate “not me” reaction, I changed to “maybe me”. So western, booties, white/silver shoes, leopard print belt. Including this crazy orange belt. In the off white style.

Will report back if any of the shoes work out.
