My goal for 2019 was to have fun with fashion and I must say, I did. This was a good year for me. My closet is in great condition and I am very happy with all of my items. May this continue into 2020.

This is my annual review of purchases and what is in my closet as of 12/2019.

shoes - 11
bags - 2
tops - 42
pants - 4
jeans - 6
shorts - 4
jackets - 1
skirts - 0
sweaters - 10
dresses - 1
Swimwear - 1
undies ( pj's, bras, panties, socks) - 26
other (glasses, jewelry) - 3

Total purchased in 2019 - 111

1 items from 2019 has already been removed from my closet. A top that went to my neighbor (it fit her better).

Total items in closet purchased 2014 through 2019 = 272

And here are the number of items remaining in my closet from these years.

Year Purchased - Remaining
2014 - 83 - 10
2015 - 54 - 8
2016 - 103 - 36
2017 - 106 - 57
2018 - 74 - 51
2019 - 111 - 110

This year I did a breakdown by items purchased in 2014 through 2019 and what remains.

shoes - 80 - 31
bags - 13 - 10
tops - 186 - 85
pants - 25 - 8
jeans - 42 - 26
shorts - 5 - 4
coats - 1 - 1
jackets - 11 - 7
skirts - 5 - 2
sweaters - 55 - 20
hats - 5 - 3
dresses - 19 - 7
swimwear - 3 - 3
other (glasses, jewelry) - 7 - 6
undies ( pj's, bras, panties, socks) - 77 - 59

These numbers really surprised me but after pondering the situation awhile I realized that I lost quite a bit of weight in 2015 and changed my lifestyle when I retired in 2016. Well, that is the story anyway and I am sticking to it.

My purchasing goals for 2020 are to add more sneakers to my footwear collection. I am liking the variety of styles and colors I see at retail. Much more so than when the sneaker trend first started. Other than that, I am pretty much situated. I will not shoot for a certain purchase number because that is just setting me up for failure.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my lengthy numbers report.
