One favorite outfit for each month of the 2015 (I've already posted these photos in Angie's post, but here they are with commentary):
Jan: monochrome pattern mixing. I wore sweater vests a lot as layering pieces during last winter's neverending polar vortex.
Feb: another layered look with a handknit vest-type thing. This was the casual light grey and white ensemble.
Mar: part of Angie's Picasso challenge
Apr: another Angie challenge, the Fashion Era one this time. This is my 20's daywear look
May: a handknit cocoon cardigan
June: White, light grey, and animal ensemble. These grey Gap GF jeans have been really versatile in my wardrobe.
July: Creamsicle! These orange pants always make me smile, plus they remind me of shopping with Angie and the Seattle ladies.
Aug: Handknit lace collar (sewn to a storebought top) with my favorite silky black harem pants. It took me AGES to find the right white top and I had to heavily modify this one but I am super pleased with how this turned out.
Sept: One of my wild card purchases this year was these culottes. I'm shocked at how versatile they turned out to be! This outfit once again features the handknit lace collar top although it's covered by the scarf.
Oct: Post-apocalyptic ensemble. I know this ensemble was the source of much controversy but I love it unreservedly. I do so love black, and I think it loves me back.
Nov: Fake LBD (actually a tube skirt and shell) with tomato red jacket.
Dec: Another new handknit sweater paired with the Allsaints bubble skirt. This outfit is doubly fab because I wore it to have tea with the Boston fabbers!
And random other favorites:
Favorite purchase: the silver Naot gladiators in the Sept. photo. They are super comfy, go with all my summer clothes, and get constant compliments.
Favorite new-to-me trend: culottes! It took me forever to find a pair that worked for me (mid rise, wide leg but not too stiff, flat front) but once I did I was surprised at how versatile they are. I still only have the one pair but I'd really like a winter pair too.
Favorite ensemble: post-apocalyptic.
Favorite handknit: I'm going with the celadon cabled sweater in #12.
Favorite forum challenge: the Fashion Era challenge. Loved coming up with five very different outfits and making them wearable for today.
Favorite type of YLF post: Friday ensembles! Even if I don't do the ensemble exactly, I always find something inspiring in it.
Favorite shopping destination: Nordstrom Rack for B&M, probably nordstrom.com for online.
Favorite forum: YLF!!!! =)
