Anyone keeping track of the days? I'm going through old files looking for a certain photo and I came across #1 taken at Sundance in April or May 1965. This was 4 years before Robert Redford bought the land and turned it into a major resort. Back then it was more like an elementary ski hill called Sundance.

I'd been engaged for just a few weeks. Wearing a $2 knit jacket that I bought at some bargain basement, white blouse, and skirt I made myself. I remember those shoes--I wore them for my wedding reception under the gown where they weren't seen. Baker's Shoe's, are they still around? Size 8 1/2--I now wear 10 1/2 to 11.

The photo I was looking for didn't show up--I thought I had a full length shot. #2, Late 1990s. My friend and I had met up in Santa Barbara for a weekend of yakking and fun. She talked me into buying this full-length red sequin dress on sale at the Santa Barbara Nordstrom--the only thing I ever bought at that particular store. I wore it to the Symphony Ball, or maybe the Ballet Ball. We attended lots of charity events in those days. I remember I had to buy a long line strapless bra to wear under it. This is a slightly fuzzy professional photo.

#3. And today, earlier before it got too warm--90s today--wearing the BR merino cardi, a light peach linen tee, and Joe's Jeans, all bought on sale. I was about to go out to pick up more loquats for the deer and later shed the cardi. Yep, my Mom taught me to shop the sales.

Mom was very ladylike and gave us lots of critiques, usually to one sister to tell another sister. #4, I may have posted this before: Mom, Dad, Aunt, 2 cousins and 3 sisters.

Lots of nostalgia today. I didn't intend it at the beginning--I just wanted to find a photo of the Santa Barbara Nordy's dress.
