Here are 4 months worth of the 15 dollar op shop challenge.
The challenge I find with the shops near me is that it is hard to get the clothes and shoes and accessories for under $15(that is why it is a challenge I suppose). So for all these outfits Im not wearing accessories. The shoes I am wearing to make it more authentic are my cheap $9 shoes which I picked up last year at the salvation army but if I added to my outfit would take it over $15.
1. Casual outfit - top (sorry you can’t see neck that well) – striped top $7 Brand is Liz Jordon.
Skinny jeans were $4. Brand is nobody jeans.
2.Trousers (cue) $8 and top (Veronika Maine) $5.
3 This is my leather coat and doesn’t fit the criteria for the challenge.
4 Skirt (max ) $10 and shirt (target) ($5) Actually I don’t know if I would wear these two together but I love the skirt (but it needs a press)
5-6 Dress (glassons) $8 What do you think of the fit? As ever I am worried about the side view and the way it sits on my middle.
But all clothes and (shoes) are thrift shop finds – All Salvation army and Red Cross(I went to 6 shops in one day). I got other goodies including a bag and a couple of waistcoats. But this would take the clothes over the limit per outfit.
I think for the next few months I'm going to be on the look out for good vintage dresses or skirts - want to build up more as I have heaps of coats, jeans and jackets now.
