‘Goat-mama’ shoes

I would like some honest feedback on these shoes. I was all set on these except the minute I wore them this morning, my son started laughing and calling me goat-mama. I think he has a point....

The heel is super-comfy because of the way the heel is positioned. I want to add a heel to my wardrobe for some leg-lengthening when I wear skirts. Any other suggestions?

I see your son's point. However, to my eye, they are both fun AND chic. Good to hear that they are super-comfy too. What is not to like?

Well, I really like them and an unusual heel shape has been a thing. Most are way too unusual for the sake of being conversational, for me. But this seems just fine. How many people are up to speed on goats, anyway.

Goat-mama?? I think the shoes are really fab with that walkable height yet very fashon forward heel. Camper shoes are known for being comfortable without sacrificing style.

It took me a while to understand what he meant! I'm with Vildy. I don't these are all that crazy, and there many creative heel shapes out there right now. Unless you plan to wear these a lot around young folks, I would keep them and enjoy them. You could ask other adult friends what they think before you commit to them, if you want to see what "average" grown-ups think.

It would be interesting to pair those shoes with some fun studded bag or some other less traditional style for higher impact. I like unusual shoes - looks great on your feet.

Haha, I don't see goat mama and I can relate to children's "helpful" assessments of wardrobe items! That said, you mention feeling he has a point, which makes me think maybe you had a concern about them to start with? If that's the case, I will sing the praises of blondos for comfort and style!

I think they look fantastic. Children tend to reject anything that looks different on their mother. Or at least mine did, and sometimes still do.

I think they are cool looking, and they look great on you. While I respect your son's opinion (and I think it's cute that he even notices and takes enough interest to offer an opinion!), I might seek a different stylist. haha!

I confess I don't get the goat mama reference but I think if they're comfortable and you like them then keep. I think they're basic enough to be versatile but with a little twist which is fun.

I think they look great! But, my personal “rule” is that if I buy black shoes, they must have a fun/interesting detail- mixed textures, different heel shape, etc. Life is too short for boring shoes, so wear with a smile and enjoy!

I actually think these look great on you! But I understand your son's reference. Kids are like that. He'll get over it. Or you can chase him around the kitchen, bleating and eating everything in sight! Would make for some fun holiday mirth.

I actually remember my son being quite opinionated about my clothing when he was 7. I was buying an outfit for my sister’s wedding and he was really quite cross that I didn’t choose the black dress with big pink flowers that he liked.
( I bought a beautiful burgundy silk suit instead). Now he is 23 he’s essentially not interested.
I understand why your son said what he did because the heel does look a bit goat-like but that makes it interesting! And at least he noticed! I like Suz’s idea, for fun, and think the booties look great on you
